The idea is this:
1. Plug in your Headset/Earphones
2. Start your music playing (if you want to)
3. Open up the NiftyGPS app and tap [Armed]
If the Earphones/Headset becomes removed while the App is 'Armed', an SMS will be sent to a designated number along with a configurable message and your current GPS location.
The received SMS can be opened up using Googles Map app or google maps on the web.
