XIA Configuration attempts to address these issues by providing an automated method to document, version control, secure and make available this information to the teams and individuals that require it. Authorised users can view, edit and report against a single unified interface using a standard modern web browser.

Automate Detection

Install the XIA Configuration Client Service onto the network and Schedule to Detect Windows Servers, Windows PCs and DNS Services running on the Network without the need to install software onto the machines that are being Scanned. Connect to and configure the service using the Administrative tools locally or from a remote management station.

Manage Security

Set Security permissions on individual Items or on Containers and propegate those permissions through the Organisational heirachy. XIA Configuration supports stanard Windows authentication using either Local or Active Directory User and Groups. Users are authenticated automatically without the need to enter their network credentials (NOTE: Firefox requires a settings change for this to take effect).

Version Control

Automatically Version Control all items when that item is modified by a user or its information is automatically updated by an Agent. Version numbers are automatically generated and the authenticated users credentials are stored against each version. Optionally users can enter a description for the changes made to this Version of an Item.

Manage Locations
