PureAgent monitors response times from the agent to a server, by replaying transactions at specified intervals. This includes Static and dynamic web applications as well as other server applications. Response times are collected and alarms can be sent if performance and availability goals are not fulfilled.
You configure the agent and view results using a standard Web Browser.
Using the browser, an administrator specifies transactions to run, intervals, alarm settings etc.

Why monitor a client activity?
Standard monitoring solutions monitors server processor performance, disk performance, memory utilization etc. on back-end systems.

But what is missing in most cases is information about response-times and availability from a user perspective. Response times should be gathered from both inside and outside a fire-wall, and be used to provide data that ensures that the web site is working properly and that response times (end-to-end user experience) are acceptable. This is what PureAgent will do for you, by monitoring a client activity!
