What is Dochoo?
Dochoo is platform that enables providers to create their own mobile app for their patients. Providers can effectively manage, educate and connect with their current and prospective patients.
How it works?
Once the provider signs up, a QR code will be automatically generated. Providers can display this QR code at their practice location(s). The next time spend time waiting in the waiting room, they can download the app by scanning the QR code displayed. Providers will be able to delegate or assign an administrator, nurse, nurse practitioner, physician's assistant to manage the portal. When a patient downloads the app they will be able to access basic provider information, health feeds posted by the provider and secure private messaging. Through the platform, providers may send health feeds and send private messages to all patients who downloaded the app.
Will Having my own Dochoo app increase my workflow?
We know physicians are busy, its fact. In the current setting, patients call the office for office hours, appointments, basic health questions for their doctor. Using the dochoo platform, engagement time is reduced and there are already records of patient inquiry without the need to jot down notes. Providers can now respond to their patient questions in a fraction of the time, avoiding the difficulties of connecting by phone. The result is simple, patients get simple concerns addressed and providers gets more time to see patients.
How Dochoo can be beneficial to providers and patients?
"The average national patient waiting time in a physician's office is more than 16 minutes." The waiting time is wasted. With Dochoo, patients can download their providers app while waiting and begin absorb helpful medical content posted their provider and convert that loss time into something educational. Increased patient awareness and education reduces amount of time physicians spend during the average engagement due to frequently asked questions by all patients which could have been addressed at the time of wait. Additionally, after the visit patient may still connect with the provider through Dochoo for simple non-urgent question or concern they would have traditionally called for. This translates into more time for the doctor, higher patient satisfaction and better patient outcomes.
Is Dochoo considered Telehealth and can I charge my patient?
Dochoo's service is not designed to replace an office visit- rather, it opens a more convenient delivery of patient education and communication Its just that simple and effective. If the provider feels that an office visit or follow-up was achieved using the Dochoo platform, there are codes the provider can use to bill for the visit.
Can the data be saved and is it secure?
At dochoo, we are SERIOUS about protecting provider and patient data. PERIOD. Dochoo's HIPAA security policies and protocols are engineered to deliver the highest level of security to patient health information, in compliance with applicable laws. All patient provider engagement can be saved to your existing EMR.
I am a Physician with my own Practice, which do I sign up for, group or Doctor?
The choice is up to you, whichever you feel most appropriate for the engagement of your patients. Think of what you want your patients to see and focus on if you advertised. Usually, GROUPS are practices with multiple doctors in which the point of patient to provider communication will be the practice and not any individual doctor. Doctors can sign up their own additional to having a GROUP ID if the doctor has their own practice that have other administrators to manage the portal.
