While News Highlights and News Slideshow enables you to read fast, content filtering via WordWatchDogs and virtual channels bring the content you like as soon as they are retrieved. You also can read without opening Newzie via NewsBar and Popup Notifier. News feeds also may provide content in audio and video. Newzie enables you to download and manage those enclosure files, such as podcasts, with pause/resume support. Newzie also is a Manager. You can manage your favorite Web pages, monitor updates in those pages, and get updates highlighted.

Not all webpages have feeds so that you can subscribe to in order to get notified of updates on that webpage
Newzie can monitor normal webpages for updates. For example, you can make Newzie notify you when a new image is added. It even highlights updates to help you distinguish them at one glance

Virtual Channels & Word Watchdogs
