Crown and Anchor, a game of dice dating back to 18th-century Britain, is played with three dice and a board. The board has six equally sized spaces, each with a different symbol: crown, anchor, heart, club, diamond or spade. The six faces of each die match the symbols. The dice are kept in a "cage" or cup and tossed only by the dealer, who is known as the banker.
