With Global Chess, you can play chess against other humans and chess computers from around
the world 24/7.

Global Chess provides an iPhone/iPod Touch interface to the Free Internet Chess Server (FICS). FICS
is a free service that provides an internet virtual chess club.

Global Chess features include:

- Find chess opponent's of varying skill levels to play against.
- Play a game where you can specify your desired game parameters, such as game time limits, your desired color, your opponent's strength.
- Accept challenges from other chess players.
- Play against chess computer opponents.
- Watch other's play chess to learn more about the game or to just enjoy watching a pair of master's sparring.
- View the games of most of the top level tournaments being played LIVE.
- Make new chess-playing friends from around the world by using the built-in chat system
- Access the chess server directly by using the builtin Terminal. You can take advantage of all features of the server this way.
- You can choose from different chess piece and board styles.
- Access the chess server as a guest or as a registered user. Registration is free and allows the user to maintain a
chess rating. A chess rating is a numeric representation of your chess skill. It allows you to monitor your improvement
in the game.
- Moving pieces is easy. Just touch the piece that you wish to move, drag your finger to the desired destination. Your desired move will be displayed on the top of the screen. Release your finger after you verify that it is the correct move.
- Pieces can also be moved by tapping on the piece then tapping on the destination square
- Board can be viewed without coordinates
- Server operates 24/7

Known issues with this version:
- accepting a seek game request where the creator is automatically accepting replies will not allow you to move. Only accept seek's with manual mode or counter offer with manual mode set until i can release a new version. Thanks.
