WiPry can be either a 2.4GHz spectrum analyzer or a 100MHz-2.7GHz dynamic power meter or both, depending on the accessory that you purchase. As a spectrum analyzer, WiPry-Spectrum allows you to visualize real-time radio frequency signals in the ISM band. The spectrum analyzer gives you multiple visualization techniques to view the occupied spectrum. Waterfall mode allows you to look at the occupied spectrum over time while the raw, decay, average, heat map, and other modes allow you to view the real-time spectrum. It is perfect for detecting open WiFi channels and identifying unauthorized WiFi access points.

As a dynamic power meter, WiPry-Power brings the typical LCD style RF power measurements to a graphical interface showing you the waveform of the amplitude with respect to time. It operates exactly like an oscilloscope but instead of showing voltage, you get RF amplitude! This means that you can trigger, capture, and record the actual power output as you would a voltage on an oscilloscope. Two external digital triggers are also available (connected with the optional accessory kit) which allow you to trigger on a non-RF related event. This is extremely powerful for protocol verification and troubleshooting of wireless devices. Data is collected at up to 12MSPS allowing you to analyze and verify the smallest protocol level on/off times.
