Check out when the next bus is coming with HoosBus!
HoosBus is a bus finding application developed exclusively for the University of Virginia community. It is provided free of charge in the hope to be useful for fellow Hoos. The application uses the HoosWhere service to find real-time bus information, and presents the bus arrival time in a clean, useful format.

There are several ways to use this application, suitable for users with different levels of familiarity with UTS and CTS bus routes. For users who take buses everyday, the most convenient way is to use "Nearby" or "Favorites". "Nearby" shows the bus stops within a certain radius around the user's current location. You can change the nearby radius setting in the Settings tab. "Favorites" shows the bus stops bookmarked by the user. (To bookmark a station, simply tap the star in the bus arrival time page.) When the user stays on the bus arrival time page, the predictions will refresh automatically every 20 seconds.
For users less familiar with the bus routes, the Routes tab may come in handy. You can browse through all the stops in a certain route in a nice rail view. Tapping the location update button on the top right corner will automatically scroll the nearest bus station to the top of list.
Another way to use HoosBus application is to navigate around your current location in the Map tab. Bus stops are shown in two different colors: UTS in blue, and CTS in red. Tapping on the bus stop icon will show you the bus arrival prediction for that stop as well.
Both CTS and UTS routes are supported in this application. You can turn off CTS routes/stops in the Settings if you don't need them. You also have the option to choose your startup page to be nearby stops, favorite stops, Map or Routes.
