"Hold Here" tells pilots what holding pattern entry is recommended by the FAR/AIM. Even better, it tells pilots exactly how long they can hold before reaching bingo fuel.
--------------------
Holding Pattern Entry:
Rotate the circle with two fingers (kind of like a pinch-zoom gesture). If you want to change the airplane's heading, just tap the heading button and make another rotation gesture.
Holding pattern entries are drawn in red and the type of entry is written on top of the screen. Easy!
Bugout Times:
Just enter all the fields and tap calculate. You can enter fuel on board in terms of minutes, gallons or pounds.
If the number is red, then you are that many minutes past bingo fuel! Find a closer alternate or divert quickly!
--------------------
Bugout Time, Bingo Fuel? What's That?
When you're in a holding pattern, you are burning precious fuel. Bugout time is the moment when you have reached bingo fuel. For this app, I'm defining bingo fuel as just enough gas to fly from the holding fix to the destination, and then to the alternate without eating into your 45 minute reserve.

Words of Caution:
You are solely liable for your own actions. You are the pilot in command, use your best judgement and be safe up there.
This app is dependent upon proper pilot input. Just like the old E6-B: garbage in equals garbage out, so always ask yourself, "does this make sense?"
The bugout time calculator assumes constant fuel burn and ground speed. If you change altitudes or expect larger headwinds, try putting more conservative numbers into the app.
Fuel used to shoot an approach is not factored in. Use your judgement.
