Objective is a high-resolution digital/virtual microscopy viewer, enabling life science researchers, medical students, and pathologists and clinicians to remotely view collections of scanned digital images or virtual slides on their iDevices.

This app currently supports Objective and Aperio image servers, and Aperio Spectrum eSlide Manager; support for educational installs is new in this release. Objective can view annotated slides in Aperio, Leica, Mirax, MikroScan, Huron, ViewsIQ, Zoomify, and many JPEG 2000 and tiled TIFF/BigTIFF formats, depending upon server support.

By default, this app permits connection to any resource, but limits access to the first five items in any list; to enable access to all web-standard image content, please support us by unlocking unrestricted functionality through the in-app purchase.

Note that this app only accesses web-standard 8-bit 3-channel (RGB8) content; a future upgrade or new app will be required to interact with 16-bit, multispectral, focusable, or more complex images. Additionally, this app will not provide DICOM, HL7, IHE, or other workflow or PACS/LIS functionality.
