MyMedicalTutor is an innovative tool for doctors and medical students preparing for their clinical medical exams and is a must-have for the MRCP (PACES) and medical finals (OSCEs). It includes 40 fully-illustrated cases that are commonly encountered in the practical exams. The user can practise their presentation skills by using the app’s recording and playback functions for each case and then compare their presentation with a suggested answer. The app also provides detailed background information for each case to help answer those searching questions from the examiner!


IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON COMPATABILITY: This app does not run on PC or Mac. It is designed for iPhone 3G/3GS and iPod touch 2nd and 3rd generation. It has not been tested by us yet on iPad.

Includes 40 of the most commonly-occurring cases in medical exams (PACES/OSCEs)

Each case is illustrated and tailored specifically to the iPhone/iPod touch

Covers the following disease areas: cardiology, respiratory, abdominal, neurology, rheumatology, endocrinology

Written by doctors for MRCP PACES candidates and final year medical students

Includes recording and playback facilities to record and review oral presentations of the 40 cases

For each of the cases, there is a suggested model answer script for how the case could be presented; this is followed by a focused and relevant review of aetiology, investigations and management of all cases

You can listen to your own recording while reviewing the suggested presentation script and background information

You can also use MyMedicalTutor to record your own cases

For each case, there is a link to the supporting website that includes references, further links, updates and audio recordings (internet access required)

NB microphone is required for full functionality (inbuilt into iPhone and 3rd generation iPod touch, but earlier generations of iPod touch will require microphone to be plugged in)
