forecast io viewer is a simple wrapper for the Forecast.io mobile website which provides hyper-local weather forecasts. This is the same service that powers the popular Dark Sky app on iOS.
I created Forecast.io Viewer because I prefer the mobile Forecast.io website to most of the third-party weather apps currently available on Android, and prefer using it as its own "app" instead of a tab in Chrome. I hope you enjoy it, as well!
If you run into any trouble, please email me with information about your device, Android version, and exactly what is going wrong. I have a very limited number of Android devices to test on; theoretically the app should run just about anywhere, but older versions of Android may exhibit poor behavior due to outdated browsers
PERMISSIONS:
* Internet: Forecast.io is a website; obviously you cannot view it if you cannot connect to the internet
* Location: necessary if you want to have Forecast.io automatically determine your location
