The Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class is a compact grand tourer four-door sedan based on the platform of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and B-Class compact cars, formally launched at the January 2013 North American international Auto Show. The car was previewed by the 2012 Concept Style Coupe.
The Concept Style Coupe is a four-door concept vehicle shown during 2012 at various international locations and previewed the 2013 CLA-Class.
Fitted with a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine rated 211 PS (155 kW; 208 hp), all-wheel drive system, dual clutch automatic transmission, diamond-look grille from Concept A-CLASS, Alubeam body colour, headlamps shining red at standby mode, indicators with individual points of light up in succession, 21-inch wheels with perforated pins on the spokes, frameless side windows, panoramic roof, metallic-red colouring taillights, instrument panel upholstered in white nubuck leather, anthracite-coloured Alcantara on the upper section of the instrument panel, suede on the sports steering wheel, chrome trim elements and control panels in black anodised finish, surfaces around the HMI control panel in glossy shimmer of black anodised aluminium, four integral seats with integrated head restraints from Sports version of the new A-Class, air vents in the instrument panel from Concept A-CLASS.
The vehicle was unveiled in Avant/Garde Diaries event in Los Angeles, followed by Auto China 2012, Huashan 1914 Creative Park.
The 2013 International V8 Supercars Championship is an FIA-sanctioned international motor racing series for V8 Supercars. It is the fifteenth running of the V8 Supercar Championship Series and the seventeenth series in which V8 Supercars have contested the premier Australian touring car title. The championship will be contested over thirty-eight races, starting with the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide on 2 March 2013, and finishing with the Sydney 500 on 8 December. The series' calendar also expanded, travelling to the United States for the first time for a race at the Circuit of the Americas inAustin, Texas.
The 2013 season saw the introduction of the "Car of the Future", a revision to the regulations which were designed to cut costs and to make the series more attractive to new manufacturers. Nissan and Mercedes-Benz entered the series, with fourNissan Altimas being prepared by Kelly Racing and three Mercedes-Benz E63 AMGsbeing run by Erebus Motorsport—who purchased Stone Brothers Racing during the off-season—respectively.Holden teams competed with the new VF Commodore, which replaces the VE model, whilst Ford continued to use the FG Falcon, which had been raced since 2009, but built to Car of the Future specifications for the 2013 season.
Jamie Whincup started the season as the defending drivers' champion. His team, Triple Eight Race engineering are the defending teams' champions.
The Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is a full-size luxury crossover SUV built by the German carmaker Mercedes-Benz since 2006. A three-row, 7-passenger vehicle, it slots above the Mercedes-Benz M-Class in the lineup and shares the same unibody architecture. The vast majority of GL-Class vehicles are assembled at Mercedes-Benz US International, Inc, in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama except for a small number of early production 2007 model vehicles which were manufactured in Germany.
The Mercedes-Benz CLS is an executive-size sedan originally launched in 2004 and based on the W211 E-Class and was internally designated as the W219. The second generation CLS-Class was introduced in September 2010 and production started in the beginning of 2011.
