Zinedine Yazid Zidane (born 23 June 1972) is a french footballer Kabyle origin who played the position of attacking midfielder for the " Cannes ", " Bordeaux ", " Juventus ", " Real Madrid " and the French national team .World Champion in 1998 and Europe in 2000.
Zidane was transferred to Girondins de Bordeaux in the 1992–93 season, winning the 1995 Intertoto Cup, and finishing runner-up in the 1995–96 UEFA Cup in four years with the club. He played a set of midfield combinations with Bixente Lizarazu and Christophe Dugarry, which would become the trademark of both Bordeaux and the 1998 French national team.After a series of consistently outstanding performances for both Bordeaux and France, Zidane had offers to join Europe's top clubs in the spring of 1996, deciding on a move to UEFA Champions League winners Juventus during the close season. In 2001, Zidane was named Serie A Foreign Footballer of the Year for the second time.In 2001, Zidane joined Real Madrid for a then world record fee of 150 billion italian lire. (about €75 million) and signed a four-year contract. Retired in 2006. From 1 June 2009 to May 2011 he worked as assistant to the president of Madrid "Real " Florentino Perez . From May 2011 to 2012 , he served as sports director of Madrid "Real" , after he left Jorge Valdano . In the summer of 2012 Zidane left the post of sports director of "Real" and the summer of 2013 became an assistant coach "Royal Club" Carlo Ancelotti ".
