The Teaching Ministry of Jay Mack. Where life and the Bible meet.
The Team:
We are a fellowship of believers who are dedicated to spreading the Word of Jesus Christ from a Jewish perspective around the world. We have no buildings, no salary, and ask for no donations. Our ministry team consists of seven members, each using their own giftedness: Antonietta is our english editor, Cesar is an expert in technology and puts most everything in English on our website Gary is our graphic artist, Victor and Martha are translating and editing Exodus into spanish Josh, also an expert in technology is helping Victor and Martha get everything in Spanish online, and lastly, I am the human author. I have an MDiv degree from Bethel Seminary in San Diego, California. I am 65 years old and am a high school US History teacher. I will be retiring in June 2013 so I can devote more time to my writing.
Current Developments:
We praise God that Victor and Martha will start translating and editing Exodus in Spanish shortly. Exodus in English has just been completed and put on line. Gary has just gotten the graphic artwork on the last of the Spanish tabs finished. Cesar is working on the English and Spanish home pages, getting all twelve tabs and books set up. We are switching over to microsoft Expression Web 4 from Microsoft FrontPage because it is more up to date and allows us greater flexibility. Please, make sure to visit our Updates page for the latest additions and changes to the website.
The Website:
We are averaging about 1,900 visitors per week, about 1,300 unique visitors people who have visited the site eight or more times per week, about 4,400 pages views per week and about 1,000 individual people long on per week. In other words, we are an echurch of about 1,000 people at this time. It seems like every time we put a new devotional commentary on line, our viewership doubles. We are averaging about 50 different countries per week. We pray that this trend will continue when we put the revised edition of Isaiah in English and Exodus in Spanish on line. We seem to have a lot of activity from Beijing, China; Redmond, Washington; Kiev, Ukraine; Tokyo, Japan; London, England.
Plans, Prayers amp; Hopes:
We would like to assemble a prayer team that would pray for our protection, the protection of our family members, for direction, wisdom and open doors to Gods Word. Also we need prayer for our website. Our server, GoDaddy, has informed me that twice now someone has tired to hack our site and take it down. If you would be interested in being part of our ministry team would you contact me on the English home page, or Victor and Martha on the Spanish home page.
Our current plans are to finish Isaiah in English and get it online, then start on Revelation at some point in the summer. It has already been written, but needs to be edited and reformatted into Microsoft Expression Web 4 documents. Hopefully, that will be done sometime in the fall of 2012. After that, we will start work on Esther with the hope of having it completed and online before Purim, February 23rd, 2013. Depending on how things go, we might have time to do Jude in the spring of 2013. I plan to retire from teaching in June of 2013 and start The Life of Christ devotional commentary that next fall. It will take me a couple of years to get it written, edited and online. Once that is done, I will pray for direction regarding which devotional commentary will be next.
Shalom,
Jay Mack, MDiv
